This is the second Developer Diary about my new game project called XenoFarm - the 'I need a shave' edition. (^_^) I talk about some optimizations to plant animation routines, demonstrate a morphing animated plant, and show off some of the plant models I'm working on.

XenoFarm is my newest game project - a science fiction themed farming simulation. The player will be an interstellar sharecropper living off the land on the edge of space. The game will feature an open-world simulation of plants that live and grow according to the conditions in their environment. The player will be free to plant anywhere and tend their farm as they wish - no preset plots or rigid, square fields.
