It's time for the second game in the Xenosaga series, and boy did they try to do too much with this one. The art style is way different, likely in an attempt to appeal to people as more than just another anime game. The battle system is pretty unintuitive, and the game doesn't do a very good job at explaining how it works. With that all out of the way, the story is very good and the battle system can be fun once you do figure it out.

Xenosaga is a flawed, yet underrated series that deserved better. I enjoy revisiting the games from time to time, and realized I haven't done a playthrough since getting a RetroTINK 5X Pro. Let's see how great it looks!

And yes, I do know there are a lot of cutscenes.
