So its finally time, yes you read the title of the video right this was recorded back on the 4th of August 2022 and initially i had plans to upload on the same day.

I wanted to actually write down the text into a textfile before hand now usually when doing vloggs or other videos expect the ones with the video camera (when i have it on the tri-pod) i just tend to write the text as iam uploading it and not write a text file for it.

Expect ofcourse as mentioned when doing old school video camera recordings then i always tend to write text before hand.

Anyway yesterday on the 13th of August 2022 well it gives away when i wrote this text, but yeah i got Mario Kart 8 Deluxe finally, fun fact back when the Switch released i had planned to get it alongside Breath of the Wild but did not do so.

I dont remember if it was the reviews back in the day that swayed me.

Because ofcourse on the WII U i did get all the DLC for Mario Kart 8 and completed most of the game expect for getting 3 stars on all the cups in 200 CC.

Back then i remember a lot of reviews saying it was not worth getting if you had previously played it on WII U and gotten all the DLC.

But yeah that is pretty much BS for a lot of reasons ofcourse, yes i realize reviewers back then could not have known that during 2022 they would announce the Booster Course Pass i forgot the exact name of it but yeah in total we be getting 48 stages over 6 waves and 2 cups in each wave with ofcourse 4 stages in each Cup.

However even without that first of game is rebalanced in a lot of ways i tried finding a site that would show exactly how much was changed between characters compared to the original.

Ofcourse one thing right away is there are more weight classes within the tiers Light, Medium and Heavy.

Now i suppose the best way to find out exactly how certain characters where changed is to look up their stats in Mario Kart 8 WII U since there are sites with the characters stats and then compare them to MK8 Deluxe.

Now from my undestanding though is a lot of characters got 1+ to their Accelerations Stats and a lot also got like a 0.25 bonus to the mini turbo stats ofcourse the changes are more then that depending on the weight class.


Techically MK8 Deluxe adds 7 more characters (I will only go over if they are Light/Medium/Heavy since i dont know the individual names of each of the tiers within each weight class) Dry Bones (Light), Bowser Jr (Light), Inkling Girl (Medium), Inkling Boy (Medium), Gold Mario (Medium) heaviest of the Mediums but have same weight as the heavies actually they do have 10 weight wich is pretty intresting since i believe not all of the Heavies have 10 in weight.


(Gold Mario is unlockable and replaces Metal Mario by default and makes Metal Mario kinda like a skin instead they are however seperate characters even though their stats are the same).

King Boo (Heavy) and finally Villager from Animal Crossing being seperated into two counts as 1 character i mean technically it would make it 8 more characters since just like Inkling Boy and Girl have diffrent stats the Villager Boy/Girl have diffrent stats too.

Both Inklings are in Medium and so are the Villagers.

6 Light Tiers, 6 Medium Tiers, 4 Heavy Tiers

Now personally there would be 5 characters i would remove from the game since i feel the could be replaced with better characters.

I would remove all the Baby characters this means ofcourse we would lose 1 Light Tier however all other Light Tiers remain although the second lower only would have 1 character in it and it would now be the lighest Tier.

What you could do ofcourse is make the Babeh characters into either Child characters or Teen characters as that could be an intresting twist, or ofcourse just replace them completely with diffrent characters and honestly if people really want Babeh characters that badly then why not add Baby Donkey Kong and Baby Wario wich was present in a Yoshi's Island DS game.

Ofcourse in my opinion if you want more characters they could ofcourse add characters missing from other Mario Kart games including World Tour (Mobile).

Another option is to add the characters that exists as Mii Costumes (That you unlock with Amiibos).

Theese are the characters that are not yet in the game but exist as amiibo customes i wont count the ones already ingame.

Captain Olimar, Sonic, Mega Man, Pac Man, Captain Falcon, Fox, Kirby, Samus Aran

So thats 8 characters from just Amiboos, keep in mind i wouldnt be suprised if we saw more that would maybye be in Synch with some of the DLC waves since thats what they did originally for Mario Kart 8 on the WII U since there was a 2nd Wave Amiibo DLC.

Note btw for the Inklings both male and female there are 3 variants for each they are color variations but they look very diffrent from one another wich is cool.
