XF-17 'KITE II' VTOL | Kerbal Space Program | V.1.12
In this video, I reviewed the XF-17 'KITE II' VTOL which is on KerbalX (https://kerbalx.com/Boreas/XF-17-Kite-II-VTOL) and is made by Boreas (https://kerbalx.com/Boreas).
Overall, it looks neat and beautiful. The engines are clipped in (which is ok because Stock KSP doesn't have small engines with afterburners). The VTOL has good control, and has Mid-wing design, low-engines, has reaction wheels and never runs low on air (the shock cone intake manages).
It has 85 Stock parts (including some of breaking-ground) and has a mass of 6.779 tonnes. It is 11.3 meters long, 6.6 meters wide (from tip of left wing to tip of right wing) and stands at 4.1 meters.
Modes :
VTOL : It can take-off and land vertically (AG9 and AG10 toggles the engines angles)
STOL : It can perform short take-off and landings. For STO, angle engines at about 45 degrees and full throttle (use H and N keys)
Normal takeoffs and landings are also easily possible
However, the VTOL lacks airbrakes, which can make it tough to perform short landings. Feel free to add one
Max speed : 266.3 m/s
Propellants : Liquid Fuel (240 Units)
L : 11.3m
B : 6.6m
H : 4.1m
Mass : 6.779 tonnes
Parts : 85
