Hello everyone!

Today I'll be bringing you back to something I like to call my youth (with the means of a modern game). When I was about 5-6 years old, Out Run appeared in my little home town. The biggest food store set up Out Run at it's entrance.

This was the standing version, complete with it's steering wheel and pedals. This was my first encounter with video games (the first I can remember properly anyway). And I immediately got curious. I lived in the countryside back then, so I only got to the town when we needed shopping and stuff. So I didn't get to see this game as much as I would want to. The times I actually got to play it was minimal, but the times that I could was awesome. And a few years later, when we got a brand new shopping centre, the full car version of Out Run made it to our town aswell! This was even better than the standing one.

And that's mostly it, at least when it comes to arcade games in my little town. The years after that, I can only remember a few pinball machines, a Neo Geo machine, and a soccer game I have tried to find some info about online, but with no success. Nowadays, we don't even have a single arcade game here, except for the only legal gambling slot machine here in Sweden (don't quote me on that).

But when I am travelling around, visiting amusements parks or whatever, I keep a look out for arcade games, especially SEGA's driving games. Besides Out Run, I've enjoyed SEGA Rally and Daytona USA on multiple occasions. But it sure was a long time ago I saw Out Run...

So that's why I've wished for a proper way to enjoy the arcade version at home. The console ports back then was not the same. The first I heard about a proper conversion was that it was included in Shenmue. But I didn't have any of the consoles that game came out on. So let's fast forward to earlier this year.

I've seen some reviews, and I had seen some live streaming of Yakuza 0. So now I thought it was high time to get Out Run! So I ordered it, but the day after it arrived in the mail box, I got Nier Automata, so Yakuza had to wait a bit further still. Too long actually. In April I thought I would try Yakuza properly, and since then I'm in love with the franchise! You've seen it in my channel aswell, as I'm playing through the game and uploading the story and some substories here now.

And today I'm adding Out Run to my channel, one of my oldest favorites. In this video, I'm showing the game's attract mode. You know, the game's effort to lure in potential customers. Through the years, I saw this a lot, so this is pure nostalgia for me.

I will show some actual gameplay in the future, but I will have to practise some more (and actually manage to reach the finish line).

Until then, I hope you'll enjoy this piece of awesome memories.

Thank you for watching, and see you soon!
