The hidden and hardest boss in the game, Amon Jo on Extra Hard difficulty, Level 1 (no level ups). I was sloppy here and there, especially in his 3rd phase. Why do I do these challenges? Well, it's just a testament to how bad ass Kiryu is - he can take out the ultimate assassin...without upgrading!

Note: I don't know why it wasn't uploaded in HD since it was recorded as such. If anyone knows how this works, please let me know.

Strategy:
Note: One of the main reasons this battle can be difficult is because some genius at the development studio thought it'd be ingeniously hilarious to put in rocks to compliment the camera that might restrict your movements.

First phase - Amon dual-wielding photon blades like taiko sticks. Just wait for him to do his 5-hite combo and Tiger Drop on his 5th attack. Technically, you can Tiger Drop the first attack, hold block and Tiger Drop the 5th attack; in fact, I think it's possible to Tiger Drop him 3 times (1st, 3rd and 5th attack), but countering the 5th attack is much safer. Also, if you're close enough and not in the vicinity of the sword swing, you can avoid receiving damage.

Second phase - After you deplete 2 of his life bars, block, as he'll slip and the photon blades will fly (and can cause good damage on you if directly hit). Amon will now wield dual pistols, which does significant damage as each hit is like being hit with a shotgun. If you're too far, he'll shoot bombs, so try not to be too far. Watch out for 2 gun attacks (as you can see in the video) and roll behind him. Combo him with light attacks (square) but don't end with a heavy (triangle) as he'll block and likely counter. He'll turn around and either do a flip kick or a spinning punch attack; he may not attack right away with the flip kick but if he does the spinning punch, you'll see him glow blue. Be ready to counter either - countering the flip kick will have Amon recover (if he doesn't rebound off the wall) and attack with a punch like that can dizzy you. You CAN counter this, but it's much safer to evade it as he can destroy you with his gun if you get dizzy. If he does the spinning punch, countering him will damage him but won't stop his animation, so block right after. After, you can wait and he'll do a flip kick (once again, counter) or you can throw ONE punch, in which he will automatically evade. You can slide behind him and repeat.

Third phase - after you deplete 2 more health bars, he'll still dual-wield pistols, but he'll do more melee combos. Just repeat the same strategy as the 2nd phase and don't stay too close as you don't want to be caught in the combo. Instead of the flip kick, he'll do another kind of spin kick - either way, same strategy will work. If he does a spin kick in another direction, you'll just hit him with a kick that will stop his animation. If this happens, evade away so you don't get caught in a melee combo.

Saves have been uploaded to GameFAQs soon and when they're available for anyone who wants to attempt this challenge (and most likely, do better). I know there are people who want to try challenges like these, but don't want to run through the whole game without leveling up just to do them and although you can't save with someone else's Yakuza 3 save file, you can still load it up and play it.
