Majima spills to Kiryu that Hamazaki has been moving things behind the scenes; making it public that Majima and Suzuki were seen together, and taking advantage of Daigo being out of commission, Kashiwagi's death, and Kiryu taking down Kanda. The Florist of Sai makes his appearance here, out of the police and back in his goofy bathrobe. The Florist confirms also that Hamazaki has been working with the Chinese mafia, specifically with Kiryu's old foe, Lau Ka Long. The Florist knows all this because Daigo's been bankrolling his operation to get information on the traitors in the Tojo Clan. Little too late to prevent getting shot, but eh, what are you gonna do. The Florist also reveals another player. Turns out the man who looks like Shintaro Kazama isn't just a sketch. He's local, as well.

Unfortunately, there are more pressing matters. A veritable gaggle of Snake Flower Triad goons, led by Lau Ka Long, are marching down Nakamichi Street. Lau tasks his men to find Rikiya for some reason. Kiryu has to go save his little pal.

Just as a note, there are no new Substories in this chapter. You can, however, find all the remaining Locker Keys in Kamurocho, so have at. There are three in Purgatory, and four up in the construction site. Furthermore, the Coliseum has now opened for business, so you can ignore Rikiya and Kamurocho for a while if you feel like beating up some other dudes. Also, the Fukuma Casino is open down here, giving you access to High-Rate Blackjack.

Head for the exit and don't forget to check with the Weapons Dealer on your way out. He doesn't have much, but if you're really low on healing, you might consider taking some. Head up to the construction yard and then out into the streets, which are crazy right now.

You'll face a group of Triad thugs, then a couple of gunmen. Then, you'll head to a fight with an officer. The thugs with the officer spawn infinitely if you beat them, so focus on the officer as much as you can. Once you get him to half health, he'll run off, so chase after him. You'll face some spear-wielding foes and others on your way down Pink St. You'll also break a barrier that has a Toughness Emperor behind it. At the south end is a large dude holding a bike. Defeat him and you'll find the officer, who will continue to run. Follow him down Taihei all the way to another bike-holding guy, then you'll finally catch up and fight the officer to the pain. Once he's down, he'll make a break for it and you'll have to get him in a chase battle. He has a lot of stamina, but he's not nearly as fast as some of those you can chase in substories. Once you catch him, he'll spill that Lau is in the Nakamichi Alley area.

Head south on Senryo and west towards Nakamichi Alley, beating up everyone in your way. No big surprises that you haven't already seen. There are two more barriers as you go, each with a Staminan Royale behind them. Continue down Nakamichi and east in front of Kamuro Castle. At the end, you'll face a dude in red. He's got a dao sword, so you can't block his strikes. Fortunately, his swings are very telegraphed, so it's pretty easy to Quickstep behind him and bash his butt.

It's now time for Kiryu's rematch with Lau Ka Long. He wields a guan dao spear. There's a Toughness ZZ and a Tauriner + up here if you're hurting, as well as a few extra items to bash Lau with. If you try to overwhelm him with straight punches, he'll just spin his spear to knock you back. You'll have to slide behind him or catch him in a counter-move like Tiger Drop. Take away half his health and his spear breaks and he'll deal with you unarmed. He has quick strikes and can float around the battlefield. It's tough to counter. I find it best to back away and let him start a combo, then retaliate when he's finished. His final phase involves a pair of claws. Strikes can no longer be blocked, so you'll have to either overwhelm him or get good at quickstepping or Tiger Dropping. Defeat Lau to end the chapter.
