In 2005 the world got its first taste of the Like a Dragon franchise with the original Ryu Ga Gotoku game on PS2. In 2006 the game was brought to the West with an English dub and a new name: Yakuza. Join us as we take a retrospective look at the original Yakuza game and see how well it holds up nowadays. All footage in this video was captured in standard definition with a real PS2.

CORRECTION: In this video I incorrectly state that Michael Madsen voices Kazuma Kiryu. This character is actually voiced by Darryl Kurylo. Madsen voices the character Futoshi Shimano. Apologies for the misinformation.
