In video 16 we added a Phaser as a Variation effect. There's just one Variation Effect available for the entire Performance, all Parts can send a percentage of their signal to it. In general we reserve the Variation Effect for an effect that we plan to use on more than one Part.
Since we plan to use the Phaser only on the electric piano in Part 2, we might as well make it an Insert Effect. This video shows how to do this. And while we're at it we'll also assign the Phaser Depth parameter of the Insert Effect to Common Knob 3.
