Zeus presents Yie Ar Kung-Fu 128k (un-emulated) for the zx spectrum, a true classic from the golden era of spectrum gaming which should not be forgotten alongside the software house and all programmers that were involved in making this game.

Year of release: 1986

Well here we have the 128k version of this classic and i have to say it's certainly different to it's 48k brother.
This is one of those rare occasions where a 128k version of a games graphics have been reworked, looking crisper and refreshed, basically remastered, it's usually only the music that is different between the 48k and 128k versions of a game.
There are also a couple more fighters to fight in this version which do not exist in the 48k version, Feedle and Chain.
Music is now presented in AY 128 but sadly no sound fx.
My issue with this game is that it is too easy to complete unlike the 48k version, the enemies just don't seem to do much as in fighting leaving you to attack easily, also there are time where i am hitting the opponent endlessly and yet not scoring any hits,...bad collision detection?!,...quite the opposite...no collision detection. I feel they have concentrated on reproducing the graphics and 128k sound and while overlooking the opponent attacks.
Also, when jumping high on the mountain stages, it's very hard to see your player as he blends in with every shade.
This is a rare find, only released on an Ocean compilation to promote the 128k machine i believe.
