In this nostalgia filled episode we go back to 1982/83 with The Hobbit by Melbourne House, a devilishly difficult text adventure from an age when pixels were few and far between and background music was unheard of. This game was a bestseller in it's time.
Verity takes Susan on a guided tour of a game that came out before she was even born. It does not go well.
The version played in DOSBox in this video is not actually the original ZX Spectrum version of the game as we couldn't find it and we weren't sure that Susan would be able to handle that much nostalgia!
The Hobbit was developed at Beam Software by Philip Mitchell and Veronika Megler and published by Melbourne House.
