When you are out in the world and trying to pick up moss or flowers or garlic or clams or anything that you literally pick up from the ground, you press F and then there is a gathering animation. Well, there is a way to just NOT stop, NOT have that animation and you can just gather as fast as possible while on the run!
Jumping locks you into an animation so that the gather animation doesn't trigger. Using F is still possible, but then if you only do that, actually gather, without the animation.As you land from your jump there will be a landing animation. That is why you also do a tool use, to introduce that animation over the landing animation and thus be completely fluid with no animation that stops you.
