What originally started out as a spec script for a potential The X-Files episode turned into one of the more popular and profitable horror franchises of the 2000's. Devon Sawa portrays a teenager, Alex Browning, who cheats death after having a premonition of a catastrophic plane explosion. He and several of his classmates leave the plane before the explosion occurs, but Death later takes the lives of those who were meant to die on the plane.
