"Remember Me" is a high concept upcoming video game, developed by Dontnod Entertainment and published by Capcom. The main character Nilin, navigates a dystopian surveillance state and has the ability to "remix" people's memories. Sounds great, right? Well, Nilin is a mixed race woman. Does that make you any less interested in the game? Why?

Publishers for the game took issue with it, favoring the character be white and male. Is this the formula for a winning game, and if so, is it because someone decided it was what people want? What truly makes a good protagonist whom people love and relate to?
