Gareth A.K.A TheDMGINFO recently started a new YouTube Channel the 7DSystem and as part of that kick off he did a video to run on the Nerdarchy YouTube Channel- You Don't Need a Character Backstory| THE DMG INFO Guest Spot. While agree with some of what Gareth has to say we wanted to weigh in a bit more when it comes to back story and our own gaming group. Backstory can be a gming tool for build campaign arcs, but it can add a lot of extra work for the dungeon master at the same time. How do you feel backstory affects Role-Play?
