In this video, I discuss the reasoning why I think a fan of the Call of Duty franchise's single-player campaigns would enjoy Spec Ops: The Line. These two games are vastly different while remarkably similar. The gameplay is very simple, never too complex. But the stories and fun of the gunplay is what makes them more interesting. Spec Ops: The Line has a much deeper story than any of the COD games, and is in third-person. While COD tends to celebrate war and make it into something fun, Spec Ops: The Line does the opposite, showing the terrors of war and making you, the player see just how horrible it can be through experiencing these situations for yourself.
Spec Ops: The Line is a third-person cover shooter with militaristic gunplay and an incredible story that makes you question your own decisions around every turn. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, it is constantly going on sale for very cheap as it was released in 2012. There is also a free demo available on all platforms.
YOU SHOULD BUY THIS GAME is a new series of videos where I will find a popular, modern game and tell you why if you like it, you should buy an older, often overlooked game.
