If you have received a copyright strike but firmly believes that you had used the legal principles of Fair Use with transformative effects to the video then you must NOT email the copyright striker to negotiate for retraction of the copyright strike.
Under the legal requirements, YouTube is doing the right thing and as required by the law that allows anybody from the copyright owners and their agents to file a copyright strike against any of your videos using the YouTube online copyright claim form.
Your only defense and safety is Fair Use whereby you had changed the original video into something else (hence transform).
DO NOT EMAIL the copyright striker.
Seek to resolve everything within YouTube by filing a counter notification if you are observing fair use.
