So basically, Youtube has decided to kick any channel with less than 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watchtime over the last year off the partner program, and I try to make sense of it.

I just don't see how this helps the overall community. Likely I just can't see the larger perspective cause of my relative position, but I honestly don't think this is the solution to the problems people have been having with Youtube.
