Yes, you may have a monopoly
but when artists aren't allowed to be
free to do their jobs without having to cater to certain views
they will refuse
and nothing will remain but nonsense
NOTE: More and more YouTubers are becoming victims of false copyright claims, video and/or channel takedowns and now having videos flagged as not being "advertiser friendly". While it is possible to combat some of these nuisances, it simply shouldn't be necessary most of the time and it's also far too cumbersome, time-consuming and heavily favoured towards the claimants rather than the creators. Smaller channels are particularly vulnerable, especially when/if their videos are marked as advertiser unfriendly, as they will be completely unable tro meet the requirements necessary for a manual review. This is all effectively killing off several channels, especially smaller startups, mostly for extremely vague, false and/or completely nonsensical reasons. If you believe this is a ludicrous situation and/or you want to help keep your favourite channels and content alive, please consider sharing this video to as many people and places as you can, make your own video on the subject (your own version of this song would be more than acceptable), and/or otherwise show your support by using #StoptheYouTubeNonsense on social media. If we all speak out together, maybe YouTube will eventually hear us, stop the nonsense and ensure that all YouTubers and their fans will have a future together. Thank you in advance for any and all support.
SECOND NOTE: The caterwauling in this video masquerading as singing is not in any way intended to disrespect Simon and Garfunkel's original masterpiece or the superb cover by Disturbed. I am (clearly) not a professional singer, but this topic needs to be addressed and I thought/hoped this was a decently entertaining way of doing so.
