YouTube TV launches today in five US cities. At $35/month, the service offers around 40 channels including ESPN and all four major networks (CBS, ABC, Fox, and NBC). Moreover, the service offers unlimited DVR support, 3 simultaneous streams per membership, and, according to initial reviews, strong performance. Is YouTube TV better than DirecTV Now? Maybe. On its face, YouTube TV has all the makings of a strong streaming television service.
