YouTube’s Copyright Checks System
Right as I was about to upload another part in my Let’s Play of “Five Nights At Freddy’s 2”, I just realized that YouTube has started to implement it’s latest addition to the site: The Copyright Checks System.
Now, we’re all pretty familiar with the whole copyright thing in general, so what’s so different about this system?
Basically in this new system, it will go over the entirety of your video for any copyrighted material before it is published and released to the public eye.
While this new system may work in theory (and I’m fully aware that some people have already gotten used to it by now and enjoy it), others may be a bit skeptical and worry that the system could be abused even further, resulting in the whole Fair Use loophole being a moot point.
I don’t know what may become of this channel in the near future, but if it gets to a point where I am going to have to mute the music, then there may be a likely chance that I may not cover a whole lot of gaming walkthroughs like I used to.
Then again, I could just be panicking over nothing...
Only time will tell.
Until then, I’ll just have to wait and see how all of this unfolds.
Until then, my name has been Jacyrium... And until the next Let’s Play or whatever video I do, good day and have a pleasant tomorrow.
