Hey folks, it's episode 65! Today's game is a cool 2D platformer! Sequel to Max and the Magic Marker, Max: The Curse of Brotherhood by @pressplay_games essentially starts off like the movie Labyrinth where Max, frustrated by his little brother Felix looks up how to get rid of him forever on Giggle, says a magic rhyme and lo and behold, his younger brother gets taken away by something big and evil! Of course, Max didn't ACTUALLY want his little brother taken off and possibly killed, so he sets off through the same portal to catch up to and rescue him.

Visually the game's beautiful - cutscenes have a bit of frameyness to them (I'm assuming its for cinematic purposes though), and adopt a reaaaaalllly well done animated style like something from a Pixar movie... Actually I kinda hope they do make a movie out of these games at some point. The game itself is a 2D platformer built on a 3D engine - extremely well animated, lots of nice physics, like rope swinging and all that in there. The game's responsive and you can tell the developers over at Press Play loved working on it, it shines through so well with the end product! I had this in my library for ages and I'm kicking myself for not playing it earlier.

Anyway if Max's brothery curse for curseness put a spell on you, and it was strong come join me in lifting said curse for yourself! http://pressplay.dk/games/max-the-curse-of-brotherhood/ It's on steam, Xbox One and Xbox 360!
