This boss can be hard if you don't know what to do. first of all he is out of reach so Adol can't attack him directly so he has to rely on his swords magics ( if you failed to upgrade them ... you're fucked basically). The fire sword magic is the most recommended as it multihits his face alot and by destroying his right hand ( or is it left?) the gauge would be refilled and adol can use the magic again. Pretty much repeat the pattern while trying to survive.
