Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, the second game in the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, being the first game in the Yu-Gi-Oh! focused on the Duel Monsters card game from the franchise, a game that was responsible for the success of Yu-Gi-Oh! to this day, released on December 16, 1998 in Japan by Konami, never being published in other regions of the world, a game full of the old original essence of Yu-Gi-Oh! proposed by Kazuki Takahashi, creator of the work Yu-Gi-Oh!, marked by historical events decisive for the success of the franchise in Japan, serving as one of the test prototypes for the future launch of the official physical card game of the Yu-Gi franchise -Oh! released by Konami, on February 4, 1999, while the first national Yu-Gi-Oh!
