Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Campaign Finale
Now we reach the end of this campaign. If you want to know what happens, here's the deal. First I face off against Lester aka Lucciano then Primo aka Placido with Jack Atlas. Afterwards come Aporia and Yusei has to take him on. If you didn't get the DLC, that's where it is. But this is Link Evolution. There are two more duels.
Before I do detail it, I'm going to detail my theory on why the 5D's English dub ended the way it did with Episode 137. It was stated that it was due to low ratings. I call BS on it. I know the real reason and I could be wrong. The real reason being was that 4Kids had no other choice. 4Kids was in a lawsuit with TVTokyo over unpaid royalties. The lawsuit bankrupted them and as a result, they lost the license for Yu-Gi-Oh. Zexal would come to the U.S months after 5D's in October but by that point, the damage was done. Konami would regain the Yu-Gi-Oh! rights and 4Kids would undergo restructuring and bankruptcy. They would return as 4Licensing with the intent of licensing sports entertainment. But even that didn't help them. In 2016, 4Licensing went belly up after filing for bankruptcy a second time. Basically they're done. Though Konami would end up creating 4K Media, I feel that we probably will not get an English dub of the final arc or even an uncut one.
But anyway let us move on to the last two duels of this. Personally I wish they added more such as Aki vs. Sherry or Leo vs. Aporia. Those duels were great especially when Leo became a Signer and used Life Stream Dragon. First being Yusei vs. Antinomy. This one was a massive tearjerker. I mean it. If it didn't make you cry especially with how it ended, you have no soul. The last being Yusei vs. Z-One. For anyone wondering, Z-One assumed Yusei's identity in the hopes of giving humanity a chance and to hopefully prevent tragedy. That was for naught when Zero Reverse happened and the world ended up destroyed. He got hurt in the process and it made him realize that changing people was impossible so he went for the most extreme of methods: annihilation. That's messed up. At least Yusei was able to beat Z-One and it made him sacrifice himself in hopes of pulling the Arc Cradle back. Eventually Yusei would create the Fortune system and the bad future was avoided. My one issue I have with it is that they didn't include a final duel between Yusei vs. Jack. That would have been great.
