My tribute to Yubel. Once a human, they cared very much for their best friend who was also their prince (who was destined to battle the Light of Destruction and would later become the Supreme King) so much that they were even willing to be transformed into a Duel Monster strong enough to protect him, which touched the prince so much that he swore to love only them. In the modern era, the prince was reincarnated into Judai Yuki and Industrial Illusions made their spirit into a card. Yubel still remembered their prince's kind words and devoted themselves to protecting his reincarnation from anything they deemed a threat, even going as far as putting people who dueled him or hurt him in any way (even if it was on accident) into comas. One day, Seto Kaiba announced that KaibaCorp was hosting a card making contest, saying the winning designs would be sent into space in a satellite to absorb some energy waves which would make them more powerful. Judai won with his Elemental HERO Neos and Neo-Spacian designs and thinking their mind would be healed by the same waves that would make Neos and the Neo-Spacians stronger, he requested that Yubel be sent into space too. Unfortunately, the satellite (which was not the same one that Neos and the Neo-Spacians were in) that they were in was affected by the Light of Destruction instead of the waves that strengthened Neos and the Neo-Spacians and while the Light did give them new powers, it also affected their mind and caused them a lot of pain. Wanting the pain to stop, Yubel psychically reached out to Jaden from space, but this resulted in giving him nightmares. Worried, his parents arranged for him to have a medical procedure done that would render his memories of Yubel dormant, resulting in them not being able to reach Judai. Yubel concluded that Judai ignoring them was just his form of showing them love, and they set out to return the favor by making him suffer, even orchestrating the fall of many of his friends, which resulted in him becoming the Supreme King.
