3With this, we've finally finished Zanki Zero!
This was... a game I played! I have very mixed feelings on this game. I enjoyed the cast and the idea for the plot is interesting. The dungeon crawling mixed with survival gameplay is also super fun! But the stories writing is... very bad....
I can't believe some of the things the writers thought were ok to keep in the game, and joking about the jokes being bad in game doesn't excuse the bad writing. It really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. On top of that, the puzzles can be very needlessly complicated and the last few dungeons were a bit of a pain to go through.
I also really dislike dispersing a bunch of enemies around for boss battles when theres a hunger system that depletes stamina with every charge... I understand in the dungeon proper but I dislike having to run and manage everyone while also making sure theres no enemies thatll kill me in one shot if im in sight...
That ending really disappointed me too. I wanted everyone to live and it feels like only Sachika got to live her life after that ending which just really let me down... I kept hoping shed figure out how to bring them back... All in all, I can't really say I enjoyed this game, though it wasn't a waste of time. I enjoyed playing it with everyone. Sometimes I felt people were too harsh on the game to be honest, but it is true at the end of the day, this game really does not live up to expectations.
