Zeebo Main Menu GUI
Zeebo was a console designed by Qualcomm and marketed by its subsidiary Zeebo, Inc. in the developping markets of Brazil and Mexico from 2009 till 2011. While there is information that it was also planned to be marketed in China and India, no evidence can be found that it was effectively released there.
In Brazil it was distributed by TecToy and used the Claro 3G network to have the content delivered to the console.
One of the particularities of the console is that it is effectively a feature-phone, based on Qualcomm's BREW 4.0 operating system, packed in a big plastic box without screen, keyboard, speakers and microphone.
The system supports connecting HID devices via USB and Bluetooth. Joysticks, keyboard, bluetooth "boomerang" controller, and even a mouse are supported by the SDK, however the latter was not implemented in any released software.
Here is the demonstration of the Brazilian Zeebo's main menu with the so-called "Stage" view where various highlighted games are demonstrated with 3d models.
The demonstrated "Stage" view is composed from backups from a number of consoles.
