Zelda 2 Randomizer is a rom hack that I play every now and then. Zelda 2 is one of my favorite NES games of all-time, and this hack randomizes almost every part of the game. It is a very enjoyable way to keep the game fresh. Each time the hack is applied to the rom, the location of the towns, palaces, caves, items, and spells are different. The enemies' strength and point value is also random.

This was a HUGE personal best time for me. My previous PB was over 90 minutes. I got lots of luck throughout the run in this "seed." Getting the glove, raft, and magic key so early was very helpful.

There are a few little things I could've done even better to improve this time. For example, in the first palace, I forgot that I had the magic key, so I wasted a little bit of time collecting keys. That wasted about a minute. When I was trying to go down the chimney in "Denver" town, my wife walked into the room and distracted me a little bit, so I fell off the roof. That wasted a few seconds. I also didn't plan out my experience point total perfectly. I should not have "eaten" that gem after palace 2. I should've gotten the few extra points needed to get a higher attack level. But, it's hard to argue with a sub 70 minute run. I'm really proud of it. It's also the first time I have ever beaten this game without the fairy spell, which is possible only about 25% of the time. In most randomized seeds, you need the fairy at some point in the game. In one of my typical runs, I would have wasted time searching for the fairy spell, but I had a hunch to just go for it in this one, and I'm glad I did! -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/koachkrab127
