So... here's the list I made of how many random items are in places, with some extra notes. I think in the video I might've started calling them "chests" all the time even if they were floor items or NPC gifts.

Light World: 62
Dark World: 23

Hyrule Castle Escape: 6 (counts those three you need bombs to get to: they're not light world items in the listing)
Eastern Palace: 2 (not counting Saharashla gift, which is a Light World item)
Desert Palace: 1 (not counting the item up on the cliff: that's a Light World item)
Tower of Hera: 1

Hyrule Castle Tower: 0
Dark Palace: 4
Swamp Palace: 5
Skull Woods: 1
Thieves Town: 3
Ice Palace: 1
Misery Mire: 1
Turtle Rock: 4 (Not counting that place you can magic mirror outside to get a thing: that's a light world item)

And unrelated to that, I realized this morning when I woke up that I was probably supposed to warp to the light world to get the prize at the end of a part on Death Mountain near the end. (This episode was recorded Tuesday evening, like usual.)
