I completed a tour with a historical ensemble earlier this winter and was lucky enough to be able to record this before returning the instrument.

It's a wooden romantic flute from the 1850s! Very different technique and fingering than a normal metal flute. But in exchange when playing there is this beautiful and rich tone that I had never experienced playing my other flutes before.

I decided to arrange Nayru's Theme from Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages! It's only about 20 seconds long in the game but I composed a B section to help fill it out a bit and lengthen the whole song. This is my third time attempting it (since 2013!) since I just couldn't get it quite right previously and I'm happy to have finished this tricky number!
