Zelotes ZLOT Vertical Wired Game Mouse #C18 Review
If you're thinking about buying this as a gaming mouse because of the "joystick", you might want to rethink that.
Added note: After having used it for about 2.5 months, I've started to have problems with my wrist and hand. There is, occasionally, a mild pain running down the outer edge of my right hand. Also, I find that my hand often "falls asleep" now while I am sleeping, and it's hard to find a position where this doesn't happen. My conclusion is that, because I've been resting my wrist on the desk to stabilize my aim in video games, I'm putting my wrist at an unusual angle that messes up the nerves. Therefore, I advise that, if you're going to get a vertical mouse, you NOT put your wrist on your desk and you either learn to keep your hand at the correct angle or you buy a mouse that comes with a built-in wrist-rest to assist you in maintaining the proper angle. THIS mouse doesn't offer that feature. I also suggest that you place it low enough that your wrist isn't forced to bend in a way that pinches the outer (ulnar) edge (where that bulge in the wrist is).
Another note: Finally, it comes with some software that includes "Monitor.exe". When you reboot/restart your device, it'll ask if you want to give the program (elevated) permission. I strongly recommend that you do not do this. This is a Chinese product and the program (if not the mouse) could be used as a backdoor (although I don't know this for sure). I ran it through Virustotal.com, but only one engine (Acronis) marked it as malicious (https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/6893b6458a44112fe09bb835abc969e2770cb07ae4b64c4de91939fdcf66f78b/behavior/VirusTotal%20Cuckoofork). Also, it accesses winsock.dll (access to the Internet), which shouldn't be happening, lsarpc (a security sub-routine) and drwtsn32.exe (a debugging logger). It creates a drwtsn32.exe process with these parameters: -p 1164 -e 176 -g, and injects commands into dwwin.exe (a program related to the Dr. Watson program), but it's not clear to me which is injecting: drtwsn32 or monitor.
Some websites do suggest that it is suspicious.
