ZEN 6 HAS COMPETITION: Intel Nova Lake Architecture & Specs LEAK
413Intel's Nova Lake is set to be offer fantastic competition against AMD's upcoming next generation ryzen processors, powered by Zen 6. While Zen 6 will push core cores to 24 cores / 48 threads thanks to bumps in the CCD configuration (12 cores per CCD), Nova Lake seems set to go to an insane 52 cores, with this achieved with 16 P cores, 32 E cores and 4LP cores.
The L2 cache for Nova Lake will undergo radical changes, with 4MB L2 joined across two P cores, meaning that while 2 P cores will have less total L2 cache total (with Arrow Lake sporting 3MB per core, private), this will have some seriously interesting ramifications for multi thread workloads.
The memory config will also support DDR5 8000MTS, and the offer 48 PCIE lanes and a staggering amount of IO. AMD will have lots of competition in both desktop, including for games due to the large bLLC tile that is apparently plonked on to specific nova lake skus (144MB).
