I... I can't be the only one that got blindsided by how romantic some of these interactions are, right? Mostly because it comes out of absolutely nowhere? There was nothing in the Main Story; 'Tales of Midsummer Dreams' event, except for that one (1) cutscene after the mandatory fishing trip with Alice, whose dialogue is also quite out of place tbh; nor 'Ghost Ship Adventures' event that indicated this shift in Alice's character, to the point it just feels forced in my opinion.
Trust Events and Quality Time have always leaned more towards fanservice but they tend to usually be more more subtle and leave things more ambiguous so that everyone can interpret them in their own way. However, in this case, it's so in your face compared to other characters (Yuzuha's were very tame, for example, and I don't think Yixuan's and Ju Fufu's were written this way either) that it's harder to ignore. Can't say this direction is my cup of tea and I'd prefer if it were toned down but at the end of the day, that's just my personal preference.
Still, mini-rant aside, there are interesting things to be learned about Alice throughout these Events: such as the fact that, despite being so easily scared, she still has the courage to face the unknown in order to understand and experience it for herself; what it means to her to be "Thymefield"; or how she meets the Sons of Calydon thanks to her friendship with Lucy... and briefly becomes their leader. I really like when different factions interact like this.
Her second Rank Up Event is also one of the two only instances (so far) where the upcoming characters Lucia and Yidhari are teased, albeit through their Spook Shack usernames. The other is Yuzuha's profile in the Partner Archive, which uses their usernames too.
