I HATH RETURNED!! :D Organ Trail was such a fun segment. GOD DAMMIT RUSS PULL IT TOGETHER.

I wanted to celebrate my return by bringing you all an ULTRA MEGA LONG ALL-IN-ONE SUPER DUPER VIDEO. The theme of this livestream was Zombies (if you all didn't know already), so since zombies/horror kinda go together (even though they didn't really play any scary games) I figured to create a spoooooky introo. (Was it spooky? probably not, I'm sorry lol). I'm on break for a short while so I'm going to try my best to put out as much content as possible during this period.

Forget that 2012 video being the longest video I've edited, this one easily takes the cake. This video spanned over 3 days of downloading/editing/rendering (in that order).

For anyone actually interested/curious as to the process of this particular video, I'll explain it here:

1. Found a twitch.tv video downloader which allows me to download the past livestreams in RAW .flv format (which looks absolutely stunning btw) broken into 30 minute segments. The down-side to this is since Cry's livestreams have been really really long (10 1/2 hours long), I've had to download 22 parts, each being on average 600MB. 1 part takes roughly 15 minutes to download, soooo yeah, takes quite a while.

2. Sony Vegas doesn't like .flv files (I don't think many programs allow editing of .flv files), so I've had to download another program which allows me to split the video into 2 different files: one for the video (in .h264 format) and the other for the audio (in .aac format).

3. Afterwards, for some reason, Sony Vegas freezes when I try to import the .h264 video files so I've had to then convert those files into .MP4 files. The final thing I did was drop both the .MP4 files (which contain ONLY the video, no audio) and the .aac audio files into Sony Vegas and carry on editing as normal.

The folder containing ALL of these various files is 42.7GB.

This was an experimental run, and I've only done this on this livestream, so I've had to sacrifice massive file sizes and time (this final video being uploaded is 2.2GB) for a quite noticeable increases in both image quality and frame rate (pretty sure the frame rate is the same, at 30fps, but it looks ALOT smoother than my older videos when I played this video back myself)

Am I going to do this again for future videos? I really don't know. Usually, I just use Bandicam, watch his past broadcasts and record from there. Much simpler, less time consuming and smaller file sizes but the image quality suffers a bit I think. Decisions decisions.....
