Check out this free to play 3rd person shooter called, Zombies Monsters Robots. It's pretty easy to pick up and play, and it uses the Gears of war control set, and even includes the active reload feature. One draw back is that the game was built with the unreal engine and it basically means that the game is locked to 60-62 fps which means screen tearing. The game is still in it's beta stage but it's pretty fun. Enjoy the video
