This is probably one of the most common faults on the rubber key Spectrums: A block of keys doesn't work anymore or even worse, none of the keys is working.
This is caused by the flex cable of the keyboard membrane breaking because the plastic gets very brittle with age.
I killed one keyboard while performing the composite mod on my other rubber key Spectrum, just by opening the case and moving the top part just a bit so I could reach the RF modulator.
It started with just a couple of keys failing on the bottom row of the keyboard, but it quickly spread further.
The Speccy in this video already kame with a completely dead keyboard.
I thought it would be a good idea to composite mod this one as well, since I had some serious problems on the other one to get a stable picture on the RF out.
