August 7, 2011. I was on the outskirts of Richmond, Virginia. Riding on my Suzuki SV650 in a group ride. The storm was coming in and we decided to go home. Then I was cut off by a truck. I crashed in the grass, instantly breaking my neck causing paralysis from the chest down.
