My older SD gaming videos were recorded with an Encore ENMVG, an SGI Visual Workstation 320's onboard capture, or a SGI o2. I used to use an Elgato Game Capture HD for my older HD videos, but I recently switched to using a Hauppage HDPVR2. As for PC capture software, I've used Xfire (RIP, lower quality), Action!, and Fraps (when Action doesn't work, such as with certain games)
