About Toxikk Deception
Toxikk Deception is an electro-industrial band based in Bangor, Maine. The band was formed in 2014 by lead vocalist, musician, and producer Violet Mallory, and has featured members from his multiple side projects; such as Red Acid and his now female fronted Mimikk project, featuring Kimberly Kornmeier of the EBM band "Bow Ever Down" on vocals.
Their music is described as dark, aggressive and psychedelic, and fuses many genres together. Song topics generally consist of darker themed subjects. The project started in Fall of 2014 and is led by core members Violet Mallory, Joshua Sargent (Velcro) and Chris Vaughn. Violet and Josh are the producers, instrumentalists, composers and vocalists, while Chris Vaughn writes the lyrics and some additional composing for each song. DSBP Records makes and distributes the CDs + merch. They have released over 10 albums and were featured on 15 various Record Label Sampler CDs including a Metropolis Records compilation, and remixes.
