Finally, I got a kidney transplant in June 2022 after being on dialysis since November of 2019. So now I have three kidneys, yet only one works normally. Most people assume the non-working kidneys are removed, but that is only the case if they are actively doing harm. If they just aren't working, they prefer to keep them intact.
I made this shirt design during my time on dialysis to fundraise a bit for myself and a kidney disease charity.
