I find that moments often escape me. That sometimes I stop and acknowledge the present moment, the thoughts, the feelings, the experience, but then it's gone. Forever. Rendered as nothing more than delicate connections in our brains that are so easily frayed. We don't realize how incredibly important these experiences are until long after they have escaped us. Perhaps sometimes there is a reminder of these moments, but the feelings are incomplete and we know they never will be real again. They lived in that moment and that moment alone. But what's worse is knowing these moments slip away and bear no witnesses. Can I even say they were real? That is why I share my world with you, so that maybe someone else can live in these moments with me, that our connections will be strong enough to remember.
