Hey. My name is Egor, and I make music under the name qumcl.
I’m from Surgut, Russia, and most of my tracks are recorded at home: using cassette decks, old VHS players, guitars, synths, and a laptop or PC. I’m drawn to forgotten sounds, imperfections, noise, strange rhythms, and dreamlike textures. Things that feel like memories or old films. I used to make post-rock as Madcap Laughs, but later I got into lo-fi, drum’n’bass, mythology, and sonic weirdness that’s how qumcl was born. My albums are like personal diaries.
