0 boss turn#46 in all three Lufenia?! | Full Loadout | Equinox Aurora Event [DFFOO GL - Vol#155]
Okay so this will be a long description so bear with me. First thing first, I want to say I love and hate these 3 Lufenia. Why I love it? Cause it’s freaking challenging! People has been complain for days that Lufenias are easy etc etc but now SQEX shove it in their face! It’s not just difficult per stage, but like FEOD, you’re forced to lock 3 character per stage so you couldn’t use the same one on another. As to why I hate this, cause the mechanism is hella annoying. But we’ll get into details in my strategy description.
Stage 1 Team: Tidus, Ashe, Cor
Lufenia Orb: +2 when boss has more than 4 debuffs
So first of all, this stage is ranged resisted, so using Tidus here means you have to bring an imperil to bypass that. Ashe is my choice for two reasons: turn manipulation and regen. The boss is undelayable during the first phase where the adds did not appear yet, so having turn manipulation around is very helpful to 0 boss turn this. Few things to note:
1. The boss cleanse VERY OFTEN. This is one of the reason this stage is so annoying, and the 4 debuffs requirement for the orb is especially annoying when it’s on the boss alone. so you have only a few option: Tidus, Faris, Kefka are some off the head but I’m sure there’s some I missed.
2. The boss will land 3 nasty framed debuffs that are unavoidable. I tried with Aerith but the debuffs seem to still land. So you have only two ways around this: heal or cleanse it. Since I don’t want to waste a slot to bring a cleanser, I decided to bring Ashe for constant regen instead (since the Hp requirement makes it doable).
Stage 2 Team: Tifa, Garland, Queen
Lufenia Orb: +12 when unable to act
This is perhaps the easiest out of the 3, the boss is immune to HP silence, sleep, terror and confuse. So if you really want to play around the orb, the only way to bypass it is paralysis (shantoto). But I prefer to just do what Tifa like to do, that is to nuke it to Final Heaven. Pretty straight forward, boss don’t cleanse, so just go all out in calls and nuke it asap.
Stage 3 Team: Eald’Narche Pcecil Arciela
Lufenia Orb: +12 when received BRV damage from debuffs
Perhaps the most annoying out of all. The bosses here LIKE TO CLEANSE if you give them turns, and they WILL still cleanse if they don’t take turns (once they reached certain HP threshold: 69%, 49% and 29%). The ideal case is you don’t want them to move, but the freaking ORB requires them to take turn. So you see how I hate this stage.
The ideal case here is to bring the combo of Eald’Narche and a buff removal to lock them down permanently. The bosses buffs are very potent, for every turn they take with their frame buffs, they’ll get a HP regen of 450,000 per action. So timed it well and remove it asap. Use Diabolos summon for extra help in buff removal. Also, time and save your Eald’Narche Terror debuffs to make sure it’s immediately reapply when the boss cleanse and after Arciela removed the buffs.
Still, I love the challenge. Definitely a very fresh take.
