Squall being non-environmental friendly ft Reno LD Board |Redheaded Turk Lufenia [DFFOO GL - aLP#35]
Lufenia Orb:
No Orb
Not exactly the best showcase, but I absolutely love the clutch Ashe provides here, her paralysis are useful as long as you timed it well, and her LD buffs that she provides after using the HP+++ (that swaps) is really powerful, Squall instant-capped at the last minute really helps ending the fight faster.
So I mentioned before that in my honest opinion, I don't think Reno is the best option for his own Lufenia. This is because despite the fact he can nullify the bosses insanely deadly recast and mist attack, his prevention couldn't stop the enemy from cleansing debuffs. He does however, helps in delaying the boss everytime the boss attack since the attack are all physical. In my opinion, characters like Arciela and Eald'Narche work a lot better here. However, Reno as a unit himself is still really good. He has decent debuffs which reduce enemy's physical atk and defends by 40% (which Squall could benefit from) on top of an overall -20% atk & def down.
His best kit is of course, his LD debuffs. Pyramid doesn't only protect you, it also increases the BRV DMG Taken by 20%, and the best part is, as long as the bosses did not use BRV or HP ATK, the debuff will remain until they do, this is where Ashe's part comes in. By paralysing, she can nullify the mist aura and let the boss move ahead and drop the mist aura. Why drop that? It's because the cleanse would not happen so when the boss entered recast next, the pyramid debuffs will still be there to clutch save you.
Conclusively, I pulled Reno the first time around, and I wasn't gonna pull Rosa here so I'm glad I get to keep his kit. He may not stay relevant for long but his call is still very decent considering it's both offensive and defensive orientated, giving more flexibility.
