Middle-Earth: Shadow of War is an action-adventure game developed by Monolith Productions. The game continues the story from its previous title in which protagonists Talion and Celembrimbor proceeded to create a new ring of their own in order to challenge and defeat the dark lord Sauron. You will be accompanying the duo in creating an army capable of usurping Sauron while encountering various familiar individuals in the Tolkien chronicles like Shelon and Gollum and fighting one of the most powerful soldiers of Sauron, the Nazgul.

A game which received average reviews but lower than its predecessor wherein its pros focused on its improved nemesis system the franchise is proud of, the siege battles and more options to be used in battles. However, it received a lot of criticisms in various angles the most of which is its in-game microtransactions despite it being a single player game, the resulting grindy mechanic which pushes the user/player to buy in game benefits using real money, its inferior graphics and details compared to its predecessor and a non-interesting plot. Due to this, the game did not perform that well in the market. Personally, I share the same comments regarding the game, however and despite that, I still enjoyed the game due to various creative ways you could do both to your allies and enemies. I did not like the RPG elements since it is the mechanic that developers and publishers use to put microtransactions in single player games today. Regardless a good experience for those action adventure enthusiasts and fans of Tolkien chronicles. Enjoy!
