10 Crazy Obscure Indie Shoot Em' Ups Review | Deep Web Gaming. Today I go over a selection of insanely niche shoot em' up (shmup) and arcade games by indie developers that will basically never see the light of mainstream attention. Hidden gems videos were pretty popular a few years back, but deep web gaming isn't exactly pointing out hidden gems. It's also an exploration of games that are prototypes, works in progress, or abandon-ware which is an aspect of game design and release that is almost entirely ignored these days. If this video is somewhat popular, I do plan to continue the series because otherwise there are so many small games that would be impossible to cover or discuss on this channel otherwise :-) Most of these games are found on itch.io, the back pages of steam, or on 3rd party websites like Moriya Shrine. I think if some of these shmups saw further work and improvement, they could be ported onto Nintendo Switch, PS4/PS5, Xbox, and consoles generally. Here is a list of the games and their links:
