Bosses have been around as long as we can remember and have become a staple of the video game industry throughout the decades. Almost every game today has bosses in some capacity. These bosses exist so players can test out their skills and even use that awesome new weapon they just found in the dungeon. Some bosses may be easy, some may be difficult and some may be completely optional. What’s interesting is that many optional bosses are more difficult than bosses you may encounter on the main quest and sometimes even the final boss of the entire game! Developers often do this to test players who believe they have mastered the game or simply to give completionists something to do once the main quest is complete and add some replay value.
It may seem like a good idea to venture off the main quest sometimes and do your own thing, but it can turn out to be the opposite. Whether you are doing repetitive fetch quests to earn a boatload of cash or simply exploring the world, there is a chance you may encounter a boss you have never seen before. He’s bigger and stronger than any boss you ever seen making you seem puny in comparison. The boss you encounter in this area may be optional, but believe us, he doesn’t have an option to do anything other than make sure you see the game over screen.
