This is what I call a "special" video...

After nearly 18 hours of recording and about 750 GB of audio and video files, here is a small summary of the pieces I have covered during 10 years of classical piano lessons.

This shooting was done in two times, the first videos are from April, the rest from the last 4 days...

Up to 1h41, I did as many takes as I wanted to keep as few mistakes as possible, within reason... I'm not going to do 200 takes for a 5 minutes piece... On the other hand, after that it got tougher, I really didn't have much time left and all the pieces you'll hear after 1h41, I could only record them once, sometimes twice for the ones that were less than 2/3 minutes, but the long variations and other sonatas, I didn't have the time to do 10 takes of 10/15 minutes each time... And to top it all off, I haven't played most of these pieces since I stopped working on them for lessons.....

The advantage of these little problems is that my aim was to have a memory of my abilities at the time I last played the piece in question. But I must admit that it is extremely frustrating for these pieces to have such "bad" recordings when I know I have played them much better in the past...

Last but not least, everything after 2h00 in the video was learned during the pandemic, having had a few "lessons" via skype just to say that there were lessons from March to June 2020, and the year that has just passed here being like Swiss cheese (I don't dare to count the number of courses that have been skipped because of this virus), I learned the vast majority of these pieces, I won't say alone, but with a limited number of tips compared to what I could have had in a "normal" year.

All this won't stop me from thanking my teacher very much for everything she taught me during these 10 years, and for the efforts she made before (and especially) during the pandemic to give us the best possible lessons.

I'll add the timecode of each piece probably in about ten days...
