It's happening. All the things, all perfect, no checkpoints.
Here's the score - triple perfects on every playable level in the game, including all bonus content and, yes, the credits. That means:
1. High object density
2. All golds collected
3. All power-ups collected
4. No checkpoints
5. No stair assist

I'm going for all achievements, but chances are some of the community achievements will be left over, depending on the popularity of any levels I make in the level editor. Plus, I think there's an achievement for liking 100 Community-made levels, which I can't see happening unless I just go for a bunch of easy ones.
THIS VIDEO: BIT.TRIP RUNNER
So BIT.TRIP RUNNER was released back in *checks notes* 2010 for WiiWare and 2011 for PC. It was a brutally unforgiving game, with most of the negative Steam reviews criticising it for being as savage as it was; no checkpoints and a slightly weird difficulty curve. In that respect, the game wasn't as accessible as it otherwise might have been. But I still loved it.
Here, @ChoiceProvisions have re-skinned and rejigged things so that virtually anyone could pick up RUNNER and complete it however they like. I think there are checkpoints available (I never checked) and lower object densities, which I think make more sense as difficulty options that whether there's gold—optional or mandatory—as was the case in the original.
I think being made in Unreal also nerfs a couple of small things from the original, with Commander Video's hitbox being one of them, I'm almost certain. Some of the gold placement, notably in 1-11, has also been made easier. But then on High density, we do get some extra things thrown at us to make life harder than in RUNNER. This took me quite a while to realise for certain since the extra difficulty didn't seem like much for Zone 1 and most of Zone 2.
Overall, this is a great remake of RUNNER, and I'd recommend anyone who wanted to like the original game but couldn't to play this instead.
DISCLAIMER: I did remove about 12 minutes of attempts on one of the Retro Challenges (2-5, I think) to come within YouTube's 12 hour limit. I was tired and just hacked away at it without much care and attention, so chances are there's some out of context commentary.
